Young adulthood is an exciting time of life, but one that can bring unique stressors in terms of family relationships, choices about school and career, romantic relationships, sexuality, and the complex social landscape of high school or college. With more than twenty years of experience working with young adults in their late teens and early twenties, I have special respect for young people’s strengths and work with them to tap into their personal resources. I have also worked extensively with young adult performing artists in theater and music, which has led me to a nuanced understanding of the panoply of issues facing this creative bunch - from career to self-esteem to eating disorders and body image. I bring a nonjudgmental and playful attitude to this work, that allows young people to feel safe, open up, and blossom.
